As an animal keeper for the last 5 years I have been asked many questions by the general public. Lots of questions have been about their own exotic pets and in particular parrots. Parrots are increasingly rising as the perfect companion! However they require so much more than an average pet. They have extremely long lifespans, even the little ones. They are also a very intelligent species and need lots of stimulation in captivity. I would like to offer advice and support using my experience of working and training many different parrot species to aid others in how to properly care and manage their pets so they do not become a problem parrot. Hopefully this will prevent many birds being re-sold or put up for adoption. I would also like to help those thinking of buying a parrot, so that they can prepare themselves in designing the perfect set-up and even consider adopting.
